Why did you choose to volunteer at Bread for Life?
Initially, I volunteered because of the experiences of my cousin Joe and his wife Debbie. They spoke of the other volunteers so fondly and the sense of community. It was something I wanted to do.
What has been the best part of your volunteer experience?
Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose and hopefully, I’m making a small difference in the community.
What is your favorite memory from volunteering at Bread for Life?

How has volunteering impacted your life?
These past few years, Bread for Life has given me a sense of fulfillment and pride. I’m always amazed how much BFL does for the Town of Southington.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about volunteering?
If someone were to ask me about volunteering, I would say do it, as you would feel good about yourself helping someone else! It’s a great way to meet new people, to make life-long friends. They might even inspire someone else to volunteer.
